Vendor Relationship Team Manager

The Vendor team eats, breathes and dreams of great food. Exploring new cuisines and staying in the know about the top local eateries is an integral part of what our team does on a regular basis. As the Vendor Relationship Team Manager, you'll oversee the successful performance of the best local chefs, caterers, food trucks and restaurants in order to create memorable client experiences. The vendor team creates and fosters close relationships with our vendors to provide the best food in the business to our clients.  Leading training and providing mentorship to our Vendor Team will help to build the foundation of our future while supporting growing markets remotely.  Additionally, the Vendor Relationship Team Manager will collaborate with upper management to build the company in a sustainable direction in which we are looking towards the future of and our successful positioning within the market. 

  • Monitor and drive the positive performance of vendors as it relates to error-free order execution and client satisfaction
  • Actively support issue resolution process in regards to credits and vendor performance
  • Support Vendor menu audits across markets to ensure menus meet all client needs and standards for acceptable menu mix and portioning guidelines 
  • Manage vendor menu updates and curation in order to meet client demands and expand culinary offerings on an ongoing basis
  • Coach and council vendor relationships post-onboarding to maintain excellence in performance and service standards
  • Manage and lead the collaborative relationship between all internal operational teams 
  • Strategically plan and lead quarterly project initiatives as assigned by stakeholders 
  • Train and develop vendor account managers in creating and maintaining vendor relationships 
  • Analyze performance metrics and trends in order to maintain high performing markets and drive client satisfaction
  • Administer training and development with new hire VAM’s as they grow within the team
  • Scrutinize the regular updating of necessary legal documents from vendors across markets
  • Develop and lead the creation of systems and process to further support the vendor teams roles and responsibilities
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • 3-5 years customer service and/or hospitality industry experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with all types of contact points, from executive chefs to catering managers
  • Proven leadership skills, collaborating effectively to generate measurable results 
  • Strong communication and mediation/conflict management skills
  • Experience training, developing and supervising entry-level team members
  • Ability to analyze large datasets against performance metrics 
  • Hospitality industry and/or nutrition experience 
  • Strong technological skills using Google Drive, Excel & Helpscout preferred
  • Startup experience 
  • 4-year college degree
