The Vendor team eats, breathes and dreams of great food. Exploring new cuisines and staying in the know about the top local eateries is an integral part of what our team does on a regular basis. As a Vendor Development Representative for our Vendor team, you'll scour the culinary landscape to find the best local chefs, caterers, food trucks and restaurants to join our program. The team creates and fosters close relationships with our vendors to provide the best food in the business to our clients.  Assessing the abilities of sourced and qualified vendors will help to build the foundation of our future while supporting growing markets remotely.  


  • Generate vendor leads for outbound prospecting that meets’s ideal vendor profile
  • Research and source vendors high-quality leads that add value to our vendor base
  • Engage vendors in cold calls, emails, phone, and face-to-face meeting techniques 
  • Qualify vendor leads through discovery calls, detailed questions, and industry-standard benchmark criteria 
  • Effectively answer questions regarding’s service and identify whether vendors are the right fit for the platform  
  • Identify vendor opportunities based on trends that align with’s client needs
  • Collaborate on identifying priority vendor needs through the assessment of vendor base data and market/client requests
  • Assist in writing copy for outbound campaigns and continuously optimizing open rates and response rates.  
  • Accurately enter vendor leads into the vendor sales pipeline keeping status and communication history up to date  
  • Facilitate a seamless transition of leads to Vendor Onboarding Specialists  
  • Deliver solution-based results on challenging vendor issues 
  • Collaborate on quarterly project initiatives as assigned by management and stakeholders 


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Sales and/or hospitality industry experience preferred 
  • Ability to successfully identify vendor partners against specific priorities and criteria 
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with all types of contact points, from executive chefs to catering managers
  • Excel in making and hitting goals and achievements
  • A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Confident collaborating effectively to generate measurable results 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Persuasive & savvy enough in knowing how to turn a “No” into a “Yes”
  • Ability to analyze large datasets to identify priority needs 
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as a team
  • Knowledge of the national and local food & culinary scene
  • Strong technological skills using Google Drive, Excel & Helpscout
