Catering Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY is a growing 200-person startup on a mission to make eating at work amazing! We prioritize learning and development, data-driven thinking, and innovation, working collaboratively across 11 US offices, from San Francisco and Los Angeles to New York and Atlanta.

As our Catering Operations Manager, you’ll wield your knowledge of all things catering and event production to generate and systemize the optimal client experience from a design and equipment perspective. You’ll develop standard visual practices of how our clients experience, training our national team of onsite operators to execute your vision. You will determine best practices of material and equipment ordering, inventory, and maintenance, ensuring our clients always experience the vision we set out to achieve.

This position is based out of our San Francisco office and may require daily travel to various clients in the Bay Area as well as occasional national travel.


  • Develop the ideal standards for presentation and equipment needs at our client sites
  • Ensure all sites are equipped for success by identifying and tracking inventory needs and ordering additional supplies as needed
  • Devise an implementation plan and the appropriate training documentation to ensure that all sites are adequately equipped and all onsite employees have the knowledge to execute these needs
  • Continuously educate all team members on setup practices and evolving procedures


  • Working knowledge of catering equipment and best-in-class presentation
  • Punctuality, self-motivation, and the ability to work skillfully under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills    
  • Keen ability to teach others
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in event management, event production, equipment management or related position
