Vendor Account Manager


Are you creative and like to build things from scratch? Are you excited about meeting new people and while exploring your city all day? Can you sell ice to an Eskimo and make lemonade out of lemons? Ever wanted to be a part of a startup from the beginning? Well this is your chance! We want you to help launch and build our newest market and start feeding Orange County! You'll be scouring the culinary landscape to find the best, local chefs, food trucks and restaurants to join our program and will then lead them through the onboarding process from start to finish. The team creates and fosters close relationships with our vendors to provide the best food in the business to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and cold call vendors on a daily basis
  • Canvas the local neighborhood to hand-select high-quality vendors that add value to our Vendor base
  • Assist other markets in creating and maintaining vendor relationships 
  • Manage the full sales cycle and vendor onboarding process, from prospecting to close
  • Work with Vendor Menu Specialist to curate customized menus with new vendors to ensure menus meet all client needs
  • Enter vendor profile and menu into database 
  • Mentor vendors post-onboarding to maintain excellence in performance and service standards
  • Gather and regularly update necessary legal documents from vendors
  • Photograph vendors' dishes for mouthwatering presentations to clients

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years sales experience
  • Excel in making and hitting goals and achievements
  • Ability to curate long lasting relationships with all types of contact points, from executive chefs to catering managers
  • Sense of urgency and ability to hit deadlines
  • Strong communication and light mediation/conflict management skills
  • Persuasive & savvy enough in knowing how to get a “No” to a “Yes”
  • Project management & working with large datasets is a plus
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as a team
  • Knowledge of the local food & culinary scene
  • Restaurant industry or nutrition experience a plus
  • Startup experience is a plus
  • 4-year college degree
