Vendor Sales Team Manager


The Cater2.me Vendor team eats, breathes and dreams of great food. Exploring new cuisines and staying in the know about the top local eateries is an integral part of what our team does on a regular basis. As the Vendor Sales Team Manager, you'll scour the culinary landscape to find the best local chefs, caterers, food trucks and restaurants to join our program and will then lead them through the onboarding process from start to finish. The team creates and fosters close relationships with our vendors to provide the best food in the business to our clients.  Leading training and providing oversight to our Vendor Sales Team will help to build the foundation of our future while supporting growing markets remotely.  Additionally, the Vendor Sales Team Manager will collaborate with upper management to build the company in a sustainable direction in which we are looking towards the future of Cater2.me and our successful positioning within the market. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and develop process and SOP's in regards to the sales process
  • Monitor and support vendor onboarding by team members across markets  
  • Review the full sales cycle and vendor onboarding process, from prospecting to close, and coach the team in achieving quota goals
  • Mentor employees in communicating the value of the Cater2.me platform and selling the partnership
  • Define quarterly and ongoing market and national priorities for onboarding
  • Identify opportunities for future market growth in line with client sales objectives 
  • Actively lead meetings with operations in order to identify market-specific needs and proactively react to clients needs 
  • Analyze market metrics and trends in order to determine onboarding strategies 
  • Strategically lead the curation of customized menus with vendors to ensure menus meet all client needs and Cater2.me standards during onboarding
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management Team to ensure vendors meet client needs and Cater2.me standards for acceptable menu mix and portioning guidelines 
  • Additional duties as assigned  

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years sales and/or hospitality industry experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with all types of contact points, from executive chefs to catering managers
  • Proven leadership skills, collaborating effectively to generate measurable results 
  • Strong communication and mediation/conflict management skills
  • Experience training, developing and supervising entry-level team members
  • Ability to analyze large datasets against performance metrics 
  • Hospitality industry and/or nutrition experience 
  • Strong technological skills using Google Drive, Excel & Helpscout preferred
  • Startup experience 
  • 4-year college degree
